Why have I started the business?

I have seen how Doggie day care has become such a huge success in Canada and in the USA. As there are so many dogs in Australia, I thought I could offer it to Aussie dog owners too. I love the simplicity and ease of the hydrobath, so I would like to offer that to clients as well – for a complete dog's day out! I also enjoy cooking, and have found making dog treats to be rewarding for both my dog and myself.  Thank you for your interest in Dog Friendzy -  Magnum and I look forward to meeting you, Cathy

Why day care?

Doggie Day Care is a great new concept in canine care.  It offers busy dog owners the option of giving their dogs a day of play rather than boredom and loneliness at home.

Dogs are pack animals and crave companionship and stimulation from both dogs and humans.

Dog Friendzy provides that companionship as well as heaps of exercise in a safe environment.

  Services Offered:

  Doggie day care
 Hydrobathing
  Puppy playcare
  Doggie sleepovers

  Our Premises:

Secure indoor and outdoor areas, a doggie futon, TV and music, paddling pools, toys, fresh water all day, hammock and cushion beds for naptime, a comfy recliner chair for special cuddle time, and an on-site hydrobath. We also have an agility tunnel, which is great entertainment on rainy days. There are NO KENNELS here; it is more of a “home-stay”.

Enrolment:

Enrolment: All dogs who are interested in our day care and sleepover services must first be assessed through a play session with my dog, Magnum (who is the friendliest dog in the world!). The assessment takes about 45 minutes, in which time we will see how our dogs react together, and if all goes well, there are a few forms to fill out, and you can book your dog in afterwards. All dogs that stay with us must be healthy, happy dogs and have a playful nature (towards both dogs and humans).

Puppies interested in our services are allowed to come for an assessment 2 weeks after their 2nd vaccination (C5) shot (which should be administered at 12 weeks of age). In other words, the earliest a puppy could come over is at 14 weeks of age.

We prefer all dogs to be desexed (which should be done at 6 months of age), and they should be on flea and worming treatments. All dogs need to be up to date with their C5 vaccination shot, and we ask you to bring the certificate with you to the assessment.

Please be aware that Magnum is a large breed weighing about 45KG. Having said that, she is excellent with little dogs and adores puppies.

Why Hydrobath?

The benefit of a hydrobath is that the shampoo is mixed with the water and together they are sprayed at pressure.

The pressure allows the shampoo or flea rinse to penetrate the dog’s coat and get on to their skin where most problems occur.

Depending on the solutions used, they may help cure or prevent skin infections or kill fleas or other parasites.

A hydrobath with warm water can help prevent arthritis through the massaging effect of the hydrobath.

Plus, you don’t get wet and your bathroom is left clean and dry!
